Principal's Message

Welcome to the Kariong Public School website. This site gives you an overview of our school, what we stand for, and what we offer to the children of Kariong.

Kariong Public School is a proud member of the public education system of New South Wales. It was established in 1988, and today provides a dynamic, inclusive and engaging learning environment where staff and parents help students to feel happy and secure; enjoy learning; strive to achieve their potential; experience success; and care for themselves, others and the environment.

The school's teaching and non-teaching staff are highly skilled and dedicated. The strength and success of the school comes about in large part as a result of their care and skill.

Kariong Public School enjoys a reputation for excellence in creative arts, academic attainment and sport. Technology programs ensure our students are equipped for the world of the 21st Century. Everyone is catered for from the gifted and talented to those experiencing difficulties with their learning.

The school cannot succeed without the support of the whole community. Learning is life-long, and Kariong parents and carers understand that they have an absolute duty to do all they can to help their children to learn and develop a realistic and positive attitude to learning as a life-long journey. The School has an active P & C and strong community support through enthusiastic parent participation programs.

Kariong is an excellent school, which strives every day to provide its students with "A View to the Future".
